While focusing on ones goal in life of turning ones natural
inclination into a career; one also needs to be diligence. According to the
universal life church “the diligence carries a zealous yet careful nature in
their actions. They have a decisive work ethics, are steadfast in their
beliefs, uphold their convictions at all times (especially when no one is
looking) and do not easily give up.
Diligence is a virtue of hard work, and is indicative of a
belief that work in itself is good”. Menander equally says “he who labors
diligently needs never despair, for all things are accomplished by diligence
and labors”.
Diligence therefore is defined by Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary, International Students Edition, as “careful and through work or
effort”.
WIKITIONARY defines
it as “combination of carefulness and long term effort”.
Universal life church
on the other hand says “diligence refers to careful and persistent work of
effort”.
In summary, diligence denotes careful hard work. Building
according to pattern, following and observing all rules accordingly, Diligence
is a vital tool of success in every endeavor and its usefulness cannot be over
emphasized because in a way, it is success itself. No wonder God in his word
says “seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before kings
and not before ordinary men”. This is serious, what more to say, the owner of
knowledge, wisdom, success and everything has declared the importance of
diligence and its reward.
Today, also adhere to diligence on your ladder of career
choice for career success.
