There are
various classes in this life. A president of a country is from a family and a
poor laborer is also from a family, but the two are not in the same level. How
old one is does not determine how rich in knowledge one is going to be. The
first son/daughter in your family may depend on your last son/daughter
financially in the future.

ABILITY- see how it makes one excel in life via career success
Having seen
the Natural inclination and its power to make one excel in life via career
success when recognized and embraced by an individual concerned, ABILITY is
also an essential factor that needs to work in harmony with natural inclination
to successfully bring an individual into his natural environment for
excellence.
A tonic for husband and wife
According to Collins advanced learners English dictionary,
tonic is defined as a medicine that makes one feel stronger, healthier, and
less tired. It is anything that makes one feel stronger, more cheerful or more
enthusiastic.
Anything that brings peace and harmony between husband and
wife is indeed a tonic for them. When I say peace, I don’t really mean that the
two persons will never have one problem or the other that will make them feel
uncomfortable. The two persons have different characters and different
understanding. What the father sees as an offense may not be an offense to his
wife.

Diligence- combination of carefulness and long term effort
While focusing on ones goal in life of turning ones natural
inclination into a career; one also needs to be diligence. According to the
universal life church “the diligence carries a zealous yet careful nature in
their actions. They have a decisive work ethics, are steadfast in their
beliefs, uphold their convictions at all times (especially when no one is
looking) and do not easily give up.
Diligence is a virtue of hard work, and is indicative of a
belief that work in itself is good”. Menander equally says “he who labors
diligently needs never despair, for all things are accomplished by diligence
and labors”.
Diligence therefore is defined by Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary, International Students Edition, as “careful and through work or
effort”.
must read- Focus
Having known
your natural inclination and ability, one also needs to be focused.
Focus
according to the Collins Dictionary is defined as a point upon which attention,
activity, etc is directed or concentrated.
Oxford
Advanced Learners Dictionary defines it as the center of interest or activity,
an act of concentrating interest or activity on something.
Cambridge
Dictionaries on the other hand defines it as the main or central point of
something, especially of attraction or interest.
Keep praying; dont give up
This year calls for much prayer. There has to be an increase
in your prayer life as compared to the previous year, you should keep praying
about your desires and not give up until the answer comes. Don’t forget the
fact that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:
16). Be diligent in your prayer life this year and be determined to keep times
of prayer with the lord. If the unrighteous judge could hearken to the
persistent cry of the woman, God will certainly hearken to your prayer. When
the answer does not come immediately do not be discouraged for the delay to
your prayer being answered does not mean denial. Keep knocking at the door and
it shall be opened.

Read now- Power In Giving
Luke 3: 3- 5, 2 kings 4: 9- 16
Determine that you are going to be a very generous and
hospitable person giving to God and man.
Giving attracts divine blessings; it attracts God’s
attention to your problems. Solomon gave wonderfully to the lord and God in
response asked him what he wanted. Indeed giving brings a release from God.
Hospitality opens the door for reward as we can see in the case of the
shunammite woman.
understanding behavior modification
![]() |
Before we talk about behavior modification, lets first of all understand what behavior really is, am going to give you different definitions of behavior.
What is behavior?
Behavior is
actions, reactions and activity of man towards the environment.
Behavior is
also referred to as anything involving movement in response to stimuli.
Behavior can
be said to be any action of an organism that changes its relationship and
provide output from the individual to the environment
Behavior can
also be seen as action of a system or organism in relation to its environment,
or response of the system or organism to various stimuli or input, whether
internal or external, conscious or subconscious, covert or overt, voluntary or
involuntary.
Young men with wrong choices

After graduating from the university and I was serving my
nation as a Nigerian youth service corps member, I had a friend h came to the
orientation camp as a Christian. He was even our “Christian corpers’
fellowship” zonal representative.
When we got to our place of primary assignment, there was a
choice we had to make. We met some people who said they were welcoming the new
corps members with a party. I declared to them that I am a Christian; I took my
stand and told them that I have nothing to do in partnership with unbelievers;
of course, they mocked me and laughed me to scorn.
What determines what a child will be in future
![]() |
Surely, the future of every nation strongly depends on the character of her present generation. If the people are the type that inherited ugly character from their parents, it means that the nation is going to suffer.
The same problem they
encountered will continue to grow at a higher level. The only
thing that will make that nation have a better generation in the future is to
find a very good way to stop that corruption. What about a father/mother that
has a child that inherited one/two ugly character from him/her? Is it not
surprising to see a child that behaves like his/her parents? The truth is
always clear, any parent that understands his/her poor character will regret
about it.
Must read- What will make your children marry late
One of the happiness of every parent is to be alive to see their children marry in time. Once parents celebrate their children’s marriage at the right time, they will be alive to see their grand children. Do you know that children are a blessing from the God|? The bible says that children are blessings from the God (psalm 127-3).
If you happen to see your grand children or great grand children, it’s like entering from to joy (Nehemiah 8 vs. 10). There are many things that will deny you the privilege of seeing your grand children. Any child that does not attend secondary school especially the higher institution in this present generation will suffer the problem of late marriage. Some people use the time their children are supposed to be educated to use them in making money. Engaging them in one little business at their tender age will not help them in future.
What can make you have an unwanted baby
![]() |

Can there be a baby that is not
wanted? The answer is no. Every child that comes into this world has something
special in him or her. It might be for good or bad, but what is important is
for you to understand that no child is unwanted.
Every reasonable man plans very
well before doing anything important.
Parents that want to enjoy their peace
of mind in this life should think of the number of children they are going to
have.
The number of children Mr. A has
may not be the number of children Mr. B will have, this is because Mr. A may
have money to train up to j children, while Mr. B has money to train 5
children.
WHAT EVERY PARENT MUST KNOW
![]() |
| PEXELS PHOTOS |
Every individual that is alive should always understand that
there is time for everything in this life (Eccl. 3- 1). The more you are living
in this world, the more you are approaching your grave, what you are able to do
today, is what you may not be able to do tomorrow as a result of sickness or
old age. Having knowledge of this will enable you to plan ahead. Do you know
that any man that does not train his children to the higher institution or in a
very good business may not receive help from his children? You may ask why, if
a man trains his children in the university and in a good business but has no
reserve for himself could complain of not receiving enough from his children,
what about those that did not train their children to such levels? Well, the
children cannot be blamed because they have their own families to cater for
which is more important to them.
WHAT ARE YOU KNOWN FOR

Apostle John spoke to Gaius and commended him for the
testimony he had amongst the brethren, the brethren testified of the love Gaius
showed and how he was walking in the truth.
If people are to come around you, what will be their testimony
concerning you? Will they testify that you are walking in the truth? Will they
say that you are loving and generous? Have you ever sat down to think of the
impression you had left before members of your family, your business
colleagues, members of the church and neighbors? People are certainly observing
you every day, are they saying “forget that hypocrite?”

THE BLAME GAME
He is a brilliant banker at 37, he is
already the zonal head of his bank, and will soon gain more promotion. He is
comfortable, lovable and happily married. But wait a minute! Happily married?
Almost he says. His marriage would have perfect and he would have been the
happiest man in world but…and
there he goes: but, but, but……if
only his wife was a little bit patient, less aggressive and talks less, she
talks too much and jumps to conclusions too quickly. Right now he is not so
very happy, and his wife is the cause of it.
His wife is a 30 years old beauty:
tall, elegant and very intelligent. She is a top ranking marketing manager of a
telecommunications company. She makes friends easily ,popular and well respected. Her husband would have been the best man in the world, but, but……if only he can be more open and stop hiding his mobile phone
from her, and stop calling every good looking lady around him sister, or stop
being stingy with his money, or stop visiting his mother too often. If only…… she
would have been the happiest woman in the world.

YOU THINK YOU ARE BUSY
question?
Rabbi, I appreciate your invitation to join your classes, but I just don't have time in my life for spirituality right now. My week is packed with work, family commitments, fitness, and a little socializing and time to relax. I don't see where I can fit in spiritual activities. I don't want to burn out, do I?Answer:
There was once a rabbi teaching a classroom full of students. He started his lesson by saying, "My dear students, today is our last class together before you graduate. For this special occasion I am going to do something different. I am going to teach you the secret of a good cholent."The students were aghast. Cholent, the traditional Jewish stew, is a classic of Jewish cooking, but hardly a profound subject for a rabbi to teach his students for their final lesson.
The rabbi took out a crock pot and filled it to the brim with potatoes. He then turned to his students and
asked, "Tell me, now that I have filled the pot with potatoes—is the pot full?" "Yes," his students replied, confused by the simplicity of the question, for there was no way to fit in any more potatoes into the pot.
With a smile, the rabbi took out a bag of beans and poured it into the pot, and the beans managed to slip between the spaces among the potatoes. "Okay," said the rabbi, "now is the pot full?" Looking into the pot,
the students agreed that it was indeed full. Without missing a beat, the rabbi took out a bag of barley and poured it into the pot. The small kernels meandered effortlessly between the cracks and crevices among the potatoes and beans.
"Now it's full," said the students. "Really?" said the rabbi, taking out his collection of spices. He then began shaking generous amounts of salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder all over the pot. The students watched dumbfounded as the spices easily settled into what had seemed to be a completely full pot.
The rabbi, obviously enjoying himself, asked again, "Is it full yet?" Without waiting for the answer, the rabbi produced a jug of water and proceeded to pour its contents into the pot. To the amazement of his students, he was able to empty the entire jug of water into the pot without a drop spilling over the sides.
"All right," said the rabbi, a look of satisfaction on his face. "Now it really is full, right?" The students all nodded in agreement. "Are you sure?" prodded the rabbi. "Are you absolutely certain that I can't fit anything more into this pot?" Suddenly unsure of themselves, the students looked at each other nervously and said, "Surely you can't put anything else into there!" With drama and pathos, the rabbi raised a finger in the air, lowered it slowly, and flicked a switch on the side of the pot, turning on the heating element lying beneath. "You see," said the rabbi triumphantly, "I just filled the pot with the most important ingredient of all—warmth. Without it, the pot may as well be empty." The rabbi paused, and looked deeply into the eyes of his stunned students. "My children," he finally addressed them, "you are about to leave my class and go on to live busy lives. In the big world out there, you will no longer have the luxury of studying holy texts all day. In time you will be consumed by the pressures of looking after a family and making a living. But always remember this: your material pursuits are just the potatoes and beans of life. Your
spirituality, that is the warmth. "Until the fire is turned on, the pot is full of disparate ingredients. It is the warmth that unites them all into one single stew.
"If you don't maintain a spiritual connection, through praying every day, studying the holy books, and keeping focused on the true meaning of your lives, then you will end up as a cold, raw cholent —very busy, very full, but completely empty. When you have lost touch with your soul, your family life will suffer, your career will be unfulfilling, you won't be motivated even to exercise.
"But if you keep the fire burning in your soul, if you stick to a daily schedule that nourishes the spirit, even if it is only for a few minutes a day, then those few minutes will bring warmth and inspiration to all your other activities. A spiritual connection imbues your entire life with meaning, keeps you anchored and directed, inspired and motivated. It permeates all you do with a sense of purpose, and makes you succeed.
"You may be wondering," continued the rabbi, "how will you have time for all this. How will you be able to juggle the demands of material life along with your spiritual development? You will find the answer by looking at the cholent. Did you notice that, though the pot seemed full of potatoes, beans, barley, spices and water, when I added the warmth it did not overflow? Never think that adding spirituality to your schedule will overburden you. On the contrary, it will bring everything else in your life together, because it will remind you why you do all these other things in the first place: you work in order to be able to live a life of meaning, you get married in order to bring the best out in yourself and your spouse, you have children in order to educate them in the ways of goodness, you keep fit in order to have the strength to fulfill your mission. Spirituality is the warmth that does not take up space, it creates more." With a loving smile, the rabbi concluded his farewell with words of wisdom that I think apply equally to you:
"You should never think that you are so busy that you can't afford to concentrate on your soul. The truth is, you can't afford not to. May G‑d bless you that each and every one of you should always be a warm pot of cholent."
